I was hopeful of a quality chippy given the time it took to reopen since taking over. In short overpriced, small portions, overcooked dry fish and soggy chips. It's impressive they've made the chippy worse, Save your money go elsewhere, this place will be under new owners again before next Christmas if it doesn't improve
Such a shame that this seems to have gone downhill recently under new ownership. Long wait, staff didn't seem to know what they were doing and got the order wrong, mushy peas tasteless and tough, a supposedly large portion of chips was anything but, asked for a battered sausage but got a measly 10cm long un-battered sausage, now only accepts cash rather than cards, fish was alright but that was the only good thing. Won't be returning in a hurry π
Jus got 'large' chips from this place, Β£2.50, hate to think what medium or small would have been like. Bitty and poorly cooked. Extremely disappointing. Pencil added for scale. Total disgrace. Avoid!!!!!
Not normally a chippy fan as I donβt really like chips π€£ however their fish is consistently excellent and the rag puddings are spot on. Anybody rating it one star for portion size needs to take a long hard look in the mirror (if they can find one big enough π€£).
Enjoyed the food but the portion sizes are ridiculous. Won't return because of that fact.
