Ate here after visiting a relative at the hospital. Had Chicken Tikka Dirty Chips with salad and chili sauce, which was mouthwatering. Just what I needed at the end of a long day. By far the best thing I have been served in a box, ever. Staff were friendly, service was quick, the cafe was nicely set out, even with newspapers to read. Very quiet - only two other people came to eat while I was there. I really recommend this place. The cucumber on the picture is sliced, really!
So went in this evening to get a hot dog. I asked for mustard. I was given a bottle. That should have gone in the bin 12 days ago! The staff didn't seem to be bothered. I asked to see a manager. Told to come back tomorrow.
Superb food and great value. In particular, the home made potato pie and fish with minted vegetables were outstanding. The salad/snack bar is also recommended for their oven cooked jackets spuds (with mild chilli and cheese). Have eaten there for over an 8 week period and the food has always been of a consistently high standard.
Wow how shocked am I that a hospital cafe is only offering our over worked and undervalued NHS staff. Patients and visitors very very lamé limited poor selection including pizza, Luke warm chips and omelette which looks like it’s been waiting a few hours
Boris Johnson is having parties at number 10 and this cafe is only allowing NHS Staff! No patients or visitors I don’t understand how this will help reduce the COVID Cases. Either open the cafe for everyone or shut it completely down because it’s a complete risk in staying open
