Got the sauce and salad wrong on a couple of kebabs, not noticed until home but still enjoyed them. That's why 3 stars.
Ordered a cheese burger and chips from here. I asked for hot sauce and mint sauce on the chips, with ketchup and salad on the burger. However, just before lifting the burger my fingers were covered in hot sauce, the bottom muffin is drenched in liquid hot sauce which seems like it is mixed with water. Upon calling gold star they said it was normal, if you got hot sauce on the chips it will run on to the bun. Did not even receive a apology just an excuse, when responding to this excuse the line went quite like I was placed on mute. Very rude staff. Funny I have never seen a burger drenched this way before. Not the first time ordering from here but this surely will be the last.
Food here is mid at best. The donner kebab is not red. I personally prefer red donner to be honest, but the food isn't all that bad. The gold star kebab sauce is quite nice and the prices are below the market average. The service is well good. And the chips are cooked well. Overall I do believe there are better kebab shops in Oldham.
Ridiculous sized kebab. My cousin ordered the Jumbo feast, 5 of us + 2 kids couldn't finish it. Have a look at the size of it compared to the sauce tubs to see the size of it. Insane.
Only go to this place for their salad n sauce. Ordered large Donna on naan come home with it looks like a flippin small portion. Called them and they stated it's the amount they put on large. Wonder what der small portion is. I'm a regular so know the difference!
