Been coming to Emmaus for years, but the prices have gotten to the point where they're ridiculous. They're catering for the vintage/retro "trendy" crowd instead of ordinary people in need of furniture and household items. Plus, they're selling some things which should just be binned, such as 15yr old smoke alarms in their "warehouse" section. Honestly, I don't think I'll be bothering visiting again.
Changing from 5 star to 2 star, used to love this place however all the good stock now gets sold on ebay and all the unwanted stock is sold in store
Very disappointed. I have a question about an item they are selling on ebay I want to buy. Despite messaging them twice, I still haven't received a reply.
What a lovely place to visit 🌸 good second hand stuff available, parking is a bit tight though, space wise 🌸 the first floor cafe is reasonably priced with a good selection of food & drink, the cakes are delicious & there's always something to find in the shop 🌸
We've been coming to Emmaus for years, however because of the pandemic, we haven't been for a few years. We decided to visit and were surprised by how much it had changed. It has really expanded and they now have more shops in the other buildings on site so there's lots to look at. It seems to be a lot more organised with most items priced now, which wasn't the case before and it used to have more of a jumble sale feel about it which isn't the case anymore and the prices reflect that. We visited the cafe which has also been upgraded and is more expensive now. It's worth a visit for its quirkiness and it's such a good cause, however I much preferred the old Emmaus where you had to rummage for a bargain and your coffee was made by one of the lovely team members and not by a machine.
