The best chicken tikka pizza in the whole Oldham area, no contest. Very friendly delivery driver too. Always consistent, that's key when it comes to food. Well done lads.
Shop is in an absolute state the donner meat is like rubber. The cheese burgers are worse than a rustler burger that's been microwaved for 2 minutes. Only good thing about this place is that it's close to other takeaways
β Have you Tried.. π Al's Express π 147 Yorkshire St, Oldham OL1 3TH I stumbled across this place while driving through Oldham, saw some positive reviews so we parked up and went on in. The shop was very clean and bright. It was quiet inside but the phone was busy and the online order system was beeping away. Indecisively ordered doner/chips, 9" Margarita Pizza. The guy serving was really pleasant and the service was exceptional. It was like we had known each other for years and we were just catching up. It really does go a very long way but unfortunately it's not often found anymore. Although I can imagine there is a fair share of not so nice customers around as well. The food came fast and we finished our conversation and opted to eat in the car as it was late and we had to be on our way. πΆRed Doner/Chips Red Doner is not something you see often, the portion size was good although a large option on the menu would be great for greedy people like me π. The salad was fresh and crunchy goin for cabbage and cucumber was a refreshing change from lettuce. The chilli sauce was not spicy and tasted more like a sweet chilli vinaigrette, although it was very nice. The long belt straps of #doner held the sauce really well, the meat was a medium cut and had a really nice meaty texture to it. Although some pieces were a little chewy and somewhat dry most of it was really good and the taste was great. The chips were cooked well, with a nice outer crunch and hot, fluffy inside. They soaked up the remnants of the chilli sauce so that was a bonus. π Overall it was a nice portion of food, more is not always better but for those of us with eyes bigger than our bellies a larger option would be great as this was very moreish. π7.5/10 πΆ9" Margarita Pizza The pizza visually looked great and the smell was divine coming from the box. The base was a thin crust, it was soft and light, the crust however was very dry but that would have been a great crust to be dunked into a nice tub of thick creamy garlic & herb dip. The cheese was well distributed and it wasn't too greasy. The sauce on the other hand wasn't doing it for me. I got undertones of garam masala and a very sweet tomato tang. This kind of sauce doesnt go well with plain cheese and tomato pizza in my opinion but had I opted for an apna style then it would have been a party in my mouth. π₯³ Idea: (Chicken Tikka, Keema, Achar, Donner, Fresh Tomato & Garlic dip for crust π€―π€©). π7/10 Overall I would recommend Al's Express, exceptional service and great food. Next time I may have to try that Bubblegum Cake they had winking at me from the fridge ππ€£.
Food is absolutely banging, the calzone pizza is a must have here, best calzone in Oldham
First time ordering from here, it definitely won't be the last. Piping hot food, delicious and a very generous portion and well priced. Lovely delivery driver. Very polite and professional. Keep it up!
